Mysuru, Dec 23: Veterinarians, villagers, and those who have tremendous experience in the field of animal husbandry, remain spellbound at this unbelievable phenomenon. A goat on Monday December 22 gave birth to a kid which looked just like a human except for the fact that it had two hind legs and ears like that of an animal.

This unusual incident was reported from Sollepura, a tiny village located in H D Kote taluk in the district. The kid however, was born dead.

The mother goat, owned by a local named Bhaskar, however, did not easily part ways from its newborn. It remained closer and lingered near its dead kid for long.

The owner of the goat said he was utterly surprised to find that the kid, which was stillborn, looked like human. He called neighbours to witness this wonderful creation, and soon local veterinarians and other government officials were informed about it.

The surprise of onlookers had no end, as the baby goat had two hands, head, eyes, mouth and the body, all of which looked human. The only part which made it look like an animal were its ears and hind legs, structure and hooves of which clearly resembled that of the goat.

Immediately after the news about this strange creation spread, villagers from Sollepura and nearby villages rushed to the spot to catch a glimpse of the kid.

Bhaskar said this goat had given birth to kids earlier too, but this was the first time that offspring resembled a human. Veterinarians who made a beeline to the house of Bhaskar are making efforts to put together pieces of information, find whether such a thing had occurred in the past, and also how such a phenomenon could be explained logically.
