Mangaluru: Children's talents day at UBMC Aided Higher Primary School

Mangaluru, Dec 23: UBMC Aided Higher Primary School, Gorigudda, Mangaluru held their Children's Talents day for 2014-15 on December 22, 2014.

Rev S D Aiman, retired, presided over the programme. Harish, CRP of Mangaluru southern zone Bolar; Diana Jyothi Frank, headmistress of Kittel Memorial High school, Gorigudda; Revathi G, Lecturer, Kittel memorial Pre Univeristy College, Gorigudda; Vijayalaxmi, president of SDMC, UBMC school, Gorigudda; Balakrishna N, Physical education teacher, Kittel Memorial high school, Gorigudda and Vincent Samuel Karkada, headmaster, UBMC higher primary school, Gorigudda were present on the dais as Chief guests.

Headmistress V S Karkada welcomed. The guests on the dais lighted the traditional lamp and inaugurated the programme. The president and chief guests presented talent awards to the students and felicitated them. Chief guest Harish conveyed Christmas greetings to children and wished that the upcoming academic year enable them to achieve progress in education bringing good name to the school and their parents.


































Chief guest Diana Jyothi and Vijayalaxmi conveyed their best wishes. President Rev S D Aiman in his presidential address said that the children of today are the citizens of tomorrow. “Children should indulge in such activities such as these, grow in sincerity and fear of the Almighty and give away prizes to the future children like having received them now”, he said.

“We should develop ourselves to be of help to others”, he said. He congratulated the headmistress and teachers for having held the programme.

The programme consisted of:

A small play titled 'Nadiya Alalu', (The weeping of the river)
Huli Vesha (The guise of Tiger)
Janapada dance
Dole Baz (dance)
Ekalavya (English drama)
Aa Maathu Ee Maathu (drama)
Abhinaya (dance feature)
