Bengaluru, Dec 23: In one of the rarest creative works pertaining to the Christmas season, the Holy Rosary Church at Venkatala in Bengaluru has put up a fine crib that attracts everyone at first sight instantly.

The modern church as well as a replica kind of Lourdes Grotto built and donated by NRI philanthropist Ronald Colaco in Venkatala, Bengaluru has always been in the forefront for various church activities. Under their dynamic parish priest Fr Prem, there are interesting meetings for the benefit of the faithful on a regular basis. Year after year since its establishment in 2011, the church crib has been one of the highlights for the devotees to come and rever in the presentation while seeking favours from the new born Lord.

This year’s crib however is different in a few ways from the earlier ones. The Star of David’s ray of light falling on the manger is a brilliant piece of imagination while the galaxy of stars along with the Star of David illuminating from the sky is another attraction. The message of Merry Christmas and Happy New Year written with lighting on the rocks adds up to the festive mood as the onlooker gets engrossed in the beauty of the entire crib. The ideas to put up for the crib are varied as well as interesting unlike so many other cribs elsewhere in the cities. It is truly worth a visit whatever community you belong to.

One person behind this noble work of setting up the most attractive crib happens to be Frank Alvares assisted by his charming wife Mariette who thrills in such work for the church. Frank and Mariette are a former NRIs from Abu Dhabi who now are aredent devotees of the Mother Mary/Lady of Holy Rosary at Venkatala church and always coming forward to help the Church in various ways. On every other occasion Frank’s involvement with the church program is exemplary. But he always keeps his mind open to new and creative ideas when it is time to set up his favourite crib at the church. Year after year, the crib comes out with brilliant designs and the entire production deserves to be praised without hesitation. Not so long ago Frank was instrumental in erecting a giant Rosary in front of the church entrance complete with lighting which was entirely financed by Ronald Colaco.

To add another feather to the crib’s popularity, Frank Alvares has also set up another crib at the World famous and many International and National Awards Winner Clarks Exotica Hotel which is located near the Banglore International Airport. With so many guests at the popular hotel, the crib at the hotel entrance sends a message of festivity and happiness emphasizing the Christmas mood.

Bengaluru being a cosmopolitan city with an exciting participation especially during the year end festivities the cribs surely add up to the spirit of friendship and oneness all over the place. Every section of the community make a point to see the artistic as well as meaningful crib which sends a soothing feeling among the people. Happy Christmas greetings to one and all on this festive occasion. May God bless all.
