Kasargod: Jeweller found murdered in shop, motive unknown

Kasargod, Dec 24: A jeweller was found dead in his shop at Thalassery near Kannur on Tuesday December 23.

The deceased person is P K Dinesh (52). He was the partner of Savitha jewellers on the main road of Thalassery.

The incident happened on the night of Tuesday December 23. When Manish, the brother of deceased came by car to pick Dinesh, he found the shutters of the shop half closed. When he entered the shop after opening the shutters, he found Dinesh was lying in a pool of blood.

Though Dinesh was rushed to Thalassery hospital, he was declared brought dead. The Thalassery police have started the investigations.

The motive behind the murder is not known yet. The police are yet to ascertain if any gold or valuable items were stolen.

Meanwhile, the traders in Thalaseery on Wednesday closed their shutters protesting the brutal murder of the jeweller.
