Mangaluru, Dec 25: The policemen from the city, who had rushed to Mumbai for taking into custody wife and son of underworld fugitive, Ravi Poojary, had to return empty-handed, as they found that the woman and young man detained by Mumbai police are not relatives of Ravi Poojary.
After the Mumbai police informed that Ravi Poojary's wife, Sridevi Santosh Poojary, and son, Aryan Santosh Poojary, had been detained by immigration officials at Mumbai after they landed there by a flight from Dubai, a police team had left for Mumbai.
The police here had believed that the passports had been procured by Ravi Poojary for his wife and son in fake names, to avoid them from getting arrested during their visits to India.
It is said that the detained persons looked like Ravi Poojary's wife and son. The local police, who found out during their investigation that the arrested persons were not the ones wanted by them, had to return disappointed.
