M B Puranik accuses government of supporting cattle thieves

Daijiworld Media Network - Karkala (SP)

Karkala, Dec 25: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Parishad Pranta unit working president, M B Puranik, blamed the state government led by Siddaramaiah of following anti-Hindu policies and tactics aimed at appeasing minorities. He cited withdrawal of bills passed by the BJP regime for the protection of cattle and against slaughtering of cows by the Congress government as proof.

He was addressing participants of a protest programme organized in front of the office of the district deputy commissioner here, to protest against the withdrawal of act that had aimed to prevent cow slaughter, and introducing ammendment to mutts and temples acquisition act to enable government to take control of them in case of dispute. The protest was held by Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal on Wednesday December 24.

Pranta Goraksha Pramukh, Dinesh Pai Kateel, VHP district president, Jagadish Shenava, and several other leaders participated. At the end, a memorandum was sent to the state governor, seeking dismissal of the Congress government and providing for a government that rules as per constitution.

Similar protests were held in Puttur, B C Road, and other places
