Mangaluru, Dec 28: 'Willows', an apartment complex built by Nidhi Land infrastructure Developers India Pvt Ltd and Ace Developers was inaugurated at Neermarga here on Sunday, December 28.
B Ramanath Rai, minister of forest, environment and ecology, inaugurated the complex by lighting the lamp and presided over the programme.
Fr Joachim Fernandes, parish priest of St Ann’s church Kelarai blessed the building and conducted the prayer service.
B K Vishweshwari, in charge of Brahmakumaris in Mangaluru prayed on the occassion and handed over the keys to the apartment owners. Mohammed Musliyar, Khateeb of Al Kasimi Sayyad Jumma Masjid, Uddabettu blessed the occasion with prayers.
Ramanath Rai congratulated the promoters and said, "Every builder is concentrating in providing accommodation in the main city. But Nidhi infrastructure has come this far to provide quality accommodation at affordable price. While the city should grow, outskirts of the city should also grow accordingly. So more infrastructure outside city should be provided. This will create more chance for people to buy at reasonable price and also bring down the pressure on the city. We should see more projects like this outside the city."
MLA Mohiuddin Bava, Zilla panchayat vice-president, Melwin D'Souza, zilla panchayat member, Shashi Prabha Kotian, taluk panchayat member, Robert Pais, Neermarga gram panchayat president and Pushparaj Jain, president CREDAI were the guests of honour.
