Mangaluru, Dec 29: Two youngsters died after their bike hit the compound wall of a house in Agarmeli near Suratkal on Saturday late night of December 27.

Deepak Shetty (21) from Katipalla and and Nikhil Raj (19) from Krishnapura are the deceased.

As per details, Deepak was riding the bike and Nikhil was riding pillion. The duo had visited a temple before proceeding to see a Yakhshagana programme at around 1.15 am. The bike after skidding hit a compound wall and the duo died on the spot because of heavy bleeding.

The incident came to light only after an hour when some people who were returning home after attending a function, spotted them. It is revealed that the lives could have been saved if immediate medical attention was provided.

Deepak, a graduate had joined a private company only few months back. His funeral was held in Katipalla on Sunday. Nikhil, a student was an amateur photographer. His body was taken to his hometown in Thiruvananthapuram for last rites.

MLA Mohiuddin Bava and former minister Krishna Palemar have conveyed their condolences.
