Hassan: Two persons killed by KSRTC bus in Alur

Hassan, Dec 29: Two persons were killed and 13 people were injured when a KSRTC bus ploughed into a crowded place in Alur on Sunday morning of December 28.

The deceased are Srinivas (24) and Kariyaiah (29), both labourers and residents of Alur town.

Mohan, the driver and Chandrashekar, the conductor of the bus were also among those injured in the accident.

It is believed that the accident happened because of brake failure.

The bus was on its way to Alur from Bikkodu.

As per eye witnesses, the bus rammed into a lorry first coming from the opposite direction and hit a car and a bike. Later the bus also hit few buildings before it veered off the road.

The injured have been admitted to a hospital in Alur.
