To me he was not a Great Poet nor an Eminent Author, he was only my Dattoo (elder brother). It was he who introduced me to books almost in my infancy. He was almost 18 years my senior in age but when we got talking on various subjects, I felt like we were on the same page!RIP Dattoo!

J.B.Moraesbab compiled in Konkani (Devnagari script) the monograph of late C.F.D'Costa (Chafra) under the Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, Scheme of Makers of Indian Literature. I had the honor of translating the same into English at a later date and Sahitya Akademi published the same. Moraesbab and I became quite close when the translation was being done.
Yes, he has done a lot in Konkani and for Konkani.
JB, Konkani literature is richer because of your contributions.
    Rest in Peace.

Our truthful condolences to the bereaved Moraes family members. We assure our Heavenly prayers. Let us not forget that we are from one Eternal God and we are to God a day.

Through death God our only beloved Savior takes us to eternal life. When we are in this world, God wants us to love each other and all the things which He created. We should work sincerely and lead a good life through which we can prepare ourselves for our own death and thus we follow in the path of Jesus Christ who died for our sins.
