Daijiworld Media Network—Mangaluru (EP)

Mangaluru, Dec 31: The Himalayan mountains in the north and Western Ghats in the south of India, form the natural boundary and beauty of the country. However, most people only watch these from a distance and do not venture to climb them.

Looking at the pictures taken by those who have climbed the mountains is a wonderful experience. Manjunath Bhat, professional photographer and assistant editor, ‘Udayavani’ online, has provided us such an experience. His pictures of the Hima Giri Valley in Sonmarg will be exhibited in Mangaluru’s Art Gallery from Thursday January 1 to Sunday January 4, 2015.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by senior photographer Yajna Acharya on January 1, 2015, at 5 pm. Harikrishna Punaroor, former state president, Kannada Sahitya Parishad, will preside over the programme. Pradeep Kalkura, president, Dakshina Kannada Zilla Sahitya Parishad, K Anand, assistant editor, ‘Udayavani’, Mangaluru, and Manohar Prasad, head, department of news, Udayavani, Mangaluru, will be the chief guests at the programme.
