Karwar, Dec 31: At a programme held in the premises of Raghottama Math at Kekkara in Honnavar taluk in the district on Tuesday December 30, Harijans who took part in large numbers, stressed that they have total faith in Sri Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swamiji of Ramachandrapur Math, and expressed anger at those who are out to tarnish his image.

In his benedictory address, the Swamiji noted that Ramachandrapur Math is the only seat which organizes programmes with the participation of Harijans. He gratefully recollected the unstinted support extended to him by this community during the lean phase he is going through. He said he wants to do something for them in future, so that they could proudly claim him as their Guru.

Expressing their feelings, some of the representatives of Harijans spoke on the occasion. Retired police circle inspector, S R Mukri, Mukri Samaj president, Thimmu Mukri, and dalit woman leader, Manjula Mukri, said that their faith and trust rests with the Swamiji. They were also critical about the efforts beingmade by some people to show the Swamiji in bad light.

About 5,000 people had participated in the meeting.
