Kasargod: Senior citizen, knocked down by motor bike, dies

Kasargod, Dec 31: A person who was crossing the road died after a motor bike knocked him down. The accident occurred at tenth mile in Manjeshwar Udyavar at around 7.30 pm on the night of Monday December 29. The deceased has been identified as Hammabba (62) from Mangaluru.

It is learnt that Hammabba had been on a visit to the house of a relative in Mada in Udyavar in the district to attend a marriage. He was crossing the road after getting down from the bus, when a motor bike that was moving towards Kasargod from the direction of Mangaluru hit him.

Hammabba, who suffered extensive injuries in the accident, was admitted into a hospital in Mangaluru. However, he could not be saved. A case stands registered in Manjeshwar police station in this respect.
