Mangaluru, Dec 31: Abbakka TV of Ullal, a well known medium of Karnataka coastal region celebrated their anniversary at the Tajmahal hall in Ullal on Dec 27 evening. Well known social worker from Mumbai, Attur Gulabi K Bhandary inaugurated the programme. Puttur MLA Shakuntala T Shetty, chief guest of the occasion, offered tributes to Queen Abbakka.

Karnataka minister of health and family welfare, U T Khader, member of Legislative council Ivan D' Souza, Ullal Police sub inspector K Bharathi, Sathish Kumpala, Razia Ibrahim, Haji Abdul Razak, N P Suvarna, Chandrahas Uchil, Prabha N Suvarna, Haider Parthipadi, Yogesh
Kumar Jeppu and other elite people were present. Prestigious non resident Kannadiga award was presented to Shivas hair designer private limited managing director Attur Shivaram K Bhandary and media award was presented to Mohan Kuthar.


As part of cultural programme, Byari Sahitya Academy conducted Byari Cultural Loka programme, Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy held Kural Ister and Kudla artistes held Kudiyana Kombirel Tulu Yakshagana Bayalata. Abbakka media leader Shashidhara Poyyattabail welcomed and Bhuvaneshwari Shashidhar proposed vote of thanks.

Well known hair dresser of Bollywood, Karkal taluk Attur Dharegudde resident and well known youth businessman of Mumbai, Shivas Hair stylo designer Attur Shivaram K Bhandary is a background social worker. He has worked as the Executive president of Bhandary Seva Samithi
donation collecting committee and has struggled to uplift the community. He gave new dimension to the business of hair cutting and made it a private limited company.

He had his business in Mumbai and Moodbidri. He was felicitated in 1998 during Saloon International awards as one of the prestigious hair dressers. He has a well equipped hair dressing saloon and is the first hair dresser in Mumbai to have been honored by Abbakka TV.
