Mangaluru: New MCC commissioner Hephsiba Korlapati takes charge

Mangaluru, Jan 1: Newly-appointed Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) commissioner Hephsiba Rani Korlapati took charge of her office here on Thursday January 1.

Speaking to reporters after taking charge, Korlapati said that as she is new to the city, she will first study the ground realities and then act accordingly.

"Mangaluru city has lots of potential and I have some plans in mind. However, I first need to make a proper study and speak to the officials. I need at least one week to study the city and then I will act on my plans," she said, without elaborating on what those plans were.

She further said, "I will give importance to serving people within the limits of law. I will strive to provide good service with utmost sincerity," she said.

"I have a lot of responsibility and I will do my best to fulfil my duties," she added.

Before coming to Mangaluru, she was the assistant commissioner of Basavakalyana sub-division in Bidar district. An IAS officer of 2011 batch, she secured the 20th rank in IAS.

    As rightly said there is lot of potentials to grow, but also many speed breakers like strikes and jabardasti goonda gardi organized by BD,RSS,RS,BJP,AS,HJV etc. To make the road smooth, all speed breakers should be made flat or removed.

    Specialy in our Mangalore, Sister Hephsiba always be NEUTRAL. Its a very sad to say in our city appointed Commissioner female and our goons Rama Sene, BD, VHP RSS always attacking females. Thats different the BJP is a master mind and behind them to support. So this is a big challenge to our dear sister. Hope and wish her mind always secular, nature helping for every one, and strongly need to steady right and wrong. In our Mangalore we afraid about some rubbish organisations, which is trying to divide the mental, mind and peace. So dear Sister give the focus on "JUSTICE", go a head and Allah will bless and we the Kannadiga's with you.
