I think we catholic should be first take pride in our religion and community , I see so many girls and some boys for marriage sake converting to other religion . I think we need to look at our upbringing so that our children no the importance of the Christian faith , for the christian community please note that no material thing can replace your Christian self which we mayn't realize when we convert for the sake of marriage ''what will you gain if you gain the whoe world and loose your soul''.

Most of the Catholic Boys have low income and are financially poor. The habit of alcohol among catholic boys has made the matter worse. So More and more catholic girls are attracted towards hindu and muslim boys who will give them a better standard of living after marriage.

leave the couple alone and let them live a happy married life what is important is that they should live happily peacefully and bring up a family with moral values and yes it is a reality becose most christian girls prefer hindu boys becos of education however the trend is changing now since more Christian boys are getting into higher studies and post graduation we have to make our community well educated and stronger with good moral values that is more important these days youth rarely give religion first preference and this is the truth the more we preach them the more they will revolt so it is better to preach moral values religion is personal and depends upon each individuals belief and faith.

First teach moral values to these girls who are spoiling our community why cant she marry him in church or court rather marrying in arya samaja

Dsouza, pls read my comment properly as said these days younger generation is least bothered about religion they want development and comforts of life. Yes, it is imp. we first built up our community like Jain,Sikhs so that everyone is well educated and have a comfortable life then we shud think abt rehabilitating others otherwise nobody will appreciate our work they will only mudsling we have to refer the poor and needy of other communities to their religious and so called fanatics so that they will know the truth abt how these fanatics actually help their own people but first preference is our community. In mumbai, so much land of church is being sold at peanuts we have to be cautious and lay people should stop leading a sushayagat life high time we come out of our comfort zone stop zealously among ourselves and help each other.

When God created Adam, then Eve out of Adam's rib, and then God blessed them into the Covenant of Marriage did Adam ask Eve what was his religion? or Did Eve ask Adam are you Catholic? God Himself said 'Go forth and multiply and fill the earth or universe', God meant it to all people. Marriage is made in heaven, no priest or pundit makes marriage. We all celebrate marriage by calling it wedding function. Love is not blind, instead, we make love blind using religion. If these two adults decided to marry, and it is God's command, they are joined into the Covenant of Marriage by none other than God. They elected to celebrate their marriage in a manner, which is not acceptable to the parents.

Where were the parents when these two love birds courting? Now accept the reality and accept the newly weds, encourage them to live a good life. Let them pray either in temple or in a church, God is every where. In the old testament church was not there, instead temple was commonly used. My congratulations to the newly wedded couple. May God Bless them. Let Infant Jesus guide them, and let the parents welcome them and treat them with dignity and honor, and accept them as part of their family. The message of Christmas is Hope, Faith, Peace and Joy. This newly wedded couple have hope and faith in them, let hem have peace and have joy. Where God has joined them let non one separate them.

my commnet is not related to this article but in general.

for god, every one in this world are his children.it cannot be only a group of people

this truth should be understood by all religions that, they are worshipping the same god in different names as there cannot be different god for different set of people in this world.

if all the religions claim that they are worshipping the supreme power then there is only one god who they call in different names.

It is nothing but the madness and igo of parents of Bride to an extent.. India OR D.K is normally famous for arranged marriage in all religions. But now a days when arranged marriage comes brides parents were dreams for heaven even-though they are poor or middle they only need a groom from Abroad and take their daughter with him or else no marriage. now a days many youngsters in India are non married because of the madness of bride's parents. No parents looking for sincerity or good nature of boy other than money or abroad visa. But parents will be ok.. if their daughter run away with a guy who is lower than their status and causing shame for their family, religion and unrest in the minds of society peoples..
Parents spoiling the youths, religious leaders must teach the parents to look for the nature not the money or IGO
(disliking peoples please put your views.)

Both are adults so please don't call them "missing couple". As one of the parties is a Hindu and the other one is not, the ritual in the Arya Samaj does not amount to a legally valid marriage. If they are serious, the couple should enter into a marriage under the Indian Marriages Act.

Marriage as it is the adjustment of two people. To make adjustment easier, it is better one marries in the same culture n religion. Children also grow up well with a sense of security. Youngsters should avoid causing pain & hurt to their parents during this biggest decision of their life and start new life with their parents blessings. Family support is the biggest blessings on this earth.

If they are above 18 then it comes under their fundamental rights so threatening is offensive. But i see some people talking in favour of this but i also saw same people wander here and there and try to convince them and bring back if its inside their family . what i feel is for every move you take in life you need parents blessing . when you are mature enough to understand what is right and wrong. How can someone ignore their parents who looked after them for so many years for someone who recently met. Iam totally against this kind of thing which happens against parents . A father can stay strong but i cant see any mother shed tears for such thing .

I see some people supporting this, but i have also seen people who talk in favour of such thing and they take a U turn when it happens in their own family. They wander here and there and try to convince boy/girl to return back . See before taking every step about life you should think about what will happen in future and without parents blessing a life is empty. A father can adjust but i cant see any mother who shed tears for such incidents .Iam totally against this.PEACE

Hard for parents but they should understand that adult children are independent..In this case, does she wanted to come back to Hinduism, as her ancestors were from GSBs? Given her surname, looks like here ancestors were GSBs?In inter religious marriages, one person has to compromise more for a smooth marriage.. what will happen when children come into picture? Its ok if both or at a least one is an atheist but if both are believers in respective god(S), what will they teach their kids?? that your god is the only god and should be worshiped or children should worship god worshiped by both parents?? Not easy... lets not forget the cultural differences.. best of luck!

Inter Caste marriages fails most of times India due to culture, tradition, way of worship to God, food and standard level, language..etc.
In India every state have their language and their own culture, own type of food which is nowhere to be seen in world except India, these type of relationship purely for comes out of attraction and pleasure purpose.
This is my experience..I personally lived and worked atleast 9 countries in the world.

In case of daughter name her:
    Ramitha.....
In case of boy name him:
    Ran Raina.......
That is if people around you allow you to live in peace. If not there will be all sorts of complaints, counter-complaints and all that-You know?
Arya Samaj?? There was one 'Bournvita' case there some time back...Is it not?
