Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Jan 4: An orphaned Thermocol box that was sighted at the new bridge across River Netravati here on national highway 66 sent locals and police in a tizzy, before the episode ended on a happy note.

On Saturday January 3 morning, a box which appeared like a suitcase, was found lying on Netravati bridge. Some vehicle riders, who came across this mysterious-looking box, informed the police.

In view of recent incidents elsewhere and also repeated warnings by the police not to touch unidentified objects lying in public places, road users were also wary of approaching the box. Ullal police inspector, Pavitra Teja, sub-inspector, Ranjit, and others visited the spot. On a detailed examination from a distance, they came to the conclusion that it must be a box made of Thermocol containing fish waste that would have fallen out from a moving truck.

After it was confirmed that the box did not contain any explosive materials as suspected by them, but only waste, the crowd which had swelled in the area, scattered.

i doubt that some political party is using uneducated and unemployed youths to create trouble in Ullal to bring bad name to Siddaramayya govt and particularly U.T. Khader. Enemies of peace are not able to swallow their food and feeling pain in their a##. These bas###ds are looking forward to terrorize common man for vote benefits and to appease BJP

With the repeated episodes of all types of terrorist activities, cheating, daylight robberies, alleged rapes (even professional docs are not spared), alleged dowry harassment etc. etc. a very deep fear psychosis has seeped into the minds of the general public that even if they see an ant it is construed as a man eating tiger and people shiver and fear for their lives!!

Just a week ago there was a news-report, incident which occurred in a reputed holiday resort airport wherein a doctor casually, in a funny mood, when asked to the contents of his bags verbally told the checker that it contained some explosives, and instantaneously the alarm bell was pressed and the entire AP came to a standstill despite profusely apologizing repeatedly for his joking folly the doc was supposed to have been fined nearly a lac of dollars and had to go through severe trouble!!

Now the days of freedom for a human being is almost over, he always will be living in constant fear, a very very heavy price to pay for all the so called technological/medical and other advances he has made otherwise!! No doubt in advanced countries it is said every second person is under some form of psychiatric medication!!!!!

No doubt, today the most 'insecure' people are from the supposedly most powerful countries, what an irony of life and what a heavy price to pay of that of losing one's natural freedom!!

I know many friends who are working in USA. During their childhood and their stay in India, they were using the well water for all purposes....Today when they come to India on vacation,,, they use ONLY bottled drinking water....they are afraid so much to use well water.
