Udupi: Teenager falls into well, loses life

Udupi, Jan 4: In a tragic incident which occurred at Nancharumakki in Ambaru village in the taluk on Saturday January 3 morning, a teenager breathed her last after falling into a well.

Poornima (16), daughter of Thammaiah Naik, lost her life in this incident. She was drawing water from a well without platform located in Choundal Laxmi Shedthi Compound in Beernane in the village, when she slipped and fell into the well all of a sudden.

She was brought out of the well with the help of locals, and rushed to the hospital. However,she breathed her last on the way. A report about the incident was filed in Kota police station.
