Kasargod, Jan 5 : Kasargod excise police have confiscated a large quantity of illicit liquor here.
The seizure took place at Bandadka Chamakochi forest near Kasargod.
Two persons are said to have fled from the scene when the excise officers seized the drums containing illicit liquor. As per the estimate by the excise department, the quantity of illicit liquor was around 1500 liters and 10 liters of arrack.
The excise department has also seized the materials related to the production of illicit liquor. It is believed the Bandadka Chamakochi forest is used by illicit liquor mafia for the production of illicit liquor.
