Mangaluru, Jan 5: "KPCC has decided to extend the deadline of enrollment for the process of membership drive till Febraury 15. Target has also been set to increase the members from 50 to 100 members in each booth," said MLC Ivan D' Souza.

He was addressing the press meet at his office here on Monday, Januanry 5.

"District Unit Congress has been given a target of 1.7 lakh members to enlist from Dakshina Kannada district. Party intends to the strengthen the party prelude to the grampanchayath elections", he said.

He also said that "As per the statement by the government, self attested copies should be accepted in all department like City corportaion, Muncipality, Urban development authority, Police department, Rural development department, Health departments like it is being accepted in Atalji janasnehi kendra instead of notory attestation".

Deputy Mayor Kavitha, Shashidhar Hegde, Nazeer Bajal were present on this occasion.
