Patrao brothers set to present musical extravaganza

Mangaluru, Jan 4: Konkani music fans will witness Konkani musical extravaganza as Royal Friends Club, Karambar is all set to host the Patrao Nite on the joyous occasion of its silver jubilee year at St Joseph college ground, Bajpe on Saturday January 10 at 6.30 pm.

The musical nite will be presented as a fundraiser for St Antony Chapel, Antonykatte Bajpe.

It is really a musical extravaganza with many greats of Konkani music performing together. Patrao Brothers of Derebail, John and Anil, sons of famous choir master Joachim Patrao are the chief architects of this show. Patrao brothers who staged their first Konkani musical show ‘Patrao Nite’ at Don Bosco hall in Mangaluru on February 21, 1984, have already completed 30 years of their musical journey.

Legend 'Sangeet Samrat' Henry D'Souza of Mumbai along with renowned singer 'Golden voice of Konkani' fame Rony D'Cunha, multi language singer Anitha D'Souza, Ivy D'souza, Rony Crasta, Denora Fernandes, Marina Veigas and others will perform in the show.

The famous music troupe ‘Trinity Live Music Band’ led by Sachin Sequeira will definitely add to the overall exuberance of the show.

Apart from that, popular comedy group of Nellu Permannur will have the audience laugh their hearts out with their bone-tickling jokes.A well-known dance troupe 'Thunder guys' Bajpe is sure to make the audience groove to their mesmerizing dance moves and styles.

The event will be compered by compere par excellence and inimitable Leslie Rego.

All Konakni music lovers are invited to witness this great show.

    It is nice to hear that ur show is organized again. Last show in Bejai was excellent and hope that this show also goes on well. We find few people like you who do this for the love of music and Konkani. I would like to appeal to the people who organize shows to give a chance to Patrao Brothers to show their talent. With Rony besides them these duo can achieve greater heights in future. John had organized their first night at their young age of 18. They would have kings of Konkani music if proper encouragement was given to them

    As far as musical creativity is concerned they are still Jody no. 1. Because as I know very personally both of them to be extremely particular about all the nuances of true sound and melody.

    Mixed with the Patraos the likes of Rony DCunha, Anitha, Henryab and Leslie and the evening is going to be too hot for Bajpeiates despite the winter chilly skies.

    I wish all the very best to our friend Ivan Mathias who is instrumental in bringing this mega event to Bajpe.
