Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (DV/RJP)

Mangaluru, Jan 6: A brutal murder of a businessman and a member of a political party has taken place in Soorinje near Kinnigoli on Tuesday morning, January 6, 2015.

The person murdered is Keshava Shetty (35). He is surived by wife whom he had married only last year on February 20.

As per reports, the deceased was the partner of Carline garage in Hosabettu and an active member of BJP. It is gathered that Keshava Shetty was on his way to play his usual  badminton at around 6 am on Tuesday morning when unknown assailants hacked him to death.

The number of assailants were four and they had masked their faces.

It is alleged that a person named Prashanth alias Pattu from a ganja mafia is a prime suspect in the murder. Prashanth is said to have spent a month in jail after Kehava Shetty filed a complaint against him at Suratkal police station. It is alleged that Prashanth had threatened Keshava openly about consequences.

The police have already started the  investigations. It is gathered that two persons have been already taken into custody.

Post mortem has been done at Wenlock hospital. The police commissioner S Murugan has visited the place of the crime.

For your kind information, in Karnataka your Dongi , Gooda congress is in power & Shreeman Nidraramayya is the CM. Since he took the CM chair, Karnataka karavali become like UP, Bihar, crime is increasing in rocket speed. No law & order controlled in the state. Forget about any Party Government, first look at the situation in our Karavali, people are scared of moving around in day time itself. Who is responsible for this? It looks like you are also sleeping like your CM.

Its not a question of religions like Hindu, Muslim or Christian. If we are in India then first line should be "WE ARE INDIANS". All has to develop such type of mentality to keep peace in the country. Since from ancient period, India has given respect to all religions. So all should cultivate such type of respect to only India not other countries (Recently saw in news – for livelihood India but support for other countries)

Mr. Sandeep Shetty: India needs a few hundred people like you to have a peaceful society.

The communist ideology was to divide and rule, they did divide the rich and poor using wealth as the bargaining spaded card and killed so many millions around the world.

But, in India it is the religion as the dividing factor, thus the society is divided by the politicians.

You are trying to bring unity and what JESUS said is " blessed are the peacemakers", so you are BLESSED.

Your comments are greatly appreciated by the peace lovers. Please keep doing the good work.

See in the case of Akshamdam / Hyderabad and many other blasts, police arrested / charge sheeted many people. They were tortured for 5-10 years, and one fine day the courts released them all.. Such things should not happen. Such events prove that our Intelligence / Police are still clue less as to who carried out those blasts ????? Million dollar question..... This may be the result of political vendetta or some personal revenge. Whatsoever, thugs and criminals are breeding at a rapid phase in the society and are easily available to ute their schemes where money pours in. Terror and force is the trend in many countries of the world and taking a heavy toll over peace and all human norms.

Very sad incident. May the deceased rest in peace and his family may get strength to bear the loss.
There was a time, our people irrespective of our religion or caste genuinely used to find happiness in someones progress!
Those were caring and sharing times.
People in Mumbai would help fellow villager to work, study and prosper. Sad, how such nature has vanished!
May such glorious era return back to our land.

Valerian, you are absolutely right. I have been a Mumbai resident for long. Prior to Dec.6,1992, Mumbai used to be a city where nobody really cared about what your religion was. However, post Dec.6, 1992 and the riots in Mumbai in the immediate aftermath, the communal colour and climate of Mumbai has changed permanently for the worse.

With the present government at the centre with Modi at the top and RSS in the wings I see bad days ahead.

If these are the guys who are going to teach us 'true' secularism, then God help all of us.

Our beloved district has literally gone to dogs in last 10 years. Killing each other for any flimsy reason seems to be favourite pass-time for some people. It pains to see that Mangalore is hogging headlines for all the wrong reasons. Politicians across the party lines are busy in cutting ribbons and we are at the mercy of God and these killer Dogs who are hell-bent on disturbing the peace. RIP Mr. Shetty.

Law should play very important role to get these unwanted elements from our society and they should be instantly put to death, because they have killed someone in their full senses. Cops should always be on the move to get all the unwanted elements from our society and they should be rewarded and honoured.
