Mangalore, Dec 15: Gram panchayat staff staged protest in front of Zilla Panchayat (ZP) here on Thursday December 14 demanding the fulfilment of various demands.
The agitators demanded that the Malavoor GP clerk who is in the news for long should be allowed to work peacefully. They alleged that some persons are trying to meet their personal goals through this issue. They also asked the government that the services of all temporary workers should be made permanent and their salaries should be paid by the 5th of every month.
The protest was led by Yadav Shetty, president of GP workers' association. General secretary Kolnad Jayram Master and others too were present.
