Kasargod, Jan 6: An unknown group of assailants have hacked a private lab owner to death at Rajapura here.  

The deceased is identified as Padungal resident M C Jose alias American Jose (48).  His dead body was found in the verandah of the house during early morning on January 6.

When the children woke up at about 4 am in the morning on January 6, they found that their TV was on and the front door of the house open.When they did not find their father and came looking for him outside, they found blood stains in the TV room and their father outside in the pool of blood.

The locals who came running after hearing their screams informed the Police. The Police took the dead body to the district hospital.  The police have got information that the deceased was killed by hired assassins.

Jessy, the wife of Jose is employed in Italy.  His children Amal and Akash were staying with him.  Police have come to know that Jose had received death threats.  It is said that the threats were received from the lover of his wife’s sister. The Police are investigating with those incidents as the center.
