Puttur, Jan 8: Darrel Mascarenhas from Puttur has made his hometown proud by bagging the best achiever award in 'bachelor of science in recording arts' degree course at Full Sail University, USA. Selection of achievers is made by resource persons of the university and students together.

Darrel was acclaimed for composing and directing 'Namo' series of songs during the Lok Sabha election last year for publicity purposes.




Darrel, who has deep interest in recording, has provided music composition and functioned as mix and mastering engineer for several television channels including Zee, Sony, Cartoon Network, Pogo, MTV, Nickelodeon, etc. He also has been a popular figure in the district because of his innovative music.

    Dear Darrel, congratulations once again. I personally know how hard it was to go to Full Sail from admission to graduation. I had a little doubt initially whether or not you could make it among those sons and daughters of celebrities in your class. You have not only made it but made it to the top. It wasn't easy.

    I am confident that you will excel in your field because you have talents & determination.

    Keep going Darrel. I want to see the name "Mascarenhas" shining at the Hollywood.

    BTW, your speech was great. That is also an added talent. Keep it up.
