Mangalore, Dec 18: In a commendable spirit of unity and communal harmony, people of different communities gathered in large numbers on Infant Mary's school ground on Sunday, December 17 evening to celebrate Christmas.
The function was held under the auspices of staff and management of the social welfare unit of the convent and its beneficiaries.
Canara Organization for Development and Peace (CODP) director and Bandhavya's executive director Fr Onil D'Souza delivered the message of Christmas and stressed on the spirit of universal brotherhood and love.
Dr Prabha Adhikari of the Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore was the chief guest on the occasion.
Infant Mary's Convent superior Sr Emma Joseph presided over the function.
