Mangaluru, Jan 8: Foundation stone was laid for Icon Tower residential apartment and Icon City commercial building, a project by HNGC Builders & developers, here at Surathkal on Thursday January 8.
The project was launched by B S Ahmed father of Mansoor, Ismail and Imthiaz. The brochure was released by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel. Haji E K Ibrahim Musliyar rendered the ‘Dua’ prayers on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel wished the builders every success and said that he was happy to hear that the project would be completed within a year. He asked the people to own apartments to solve the problem of accommodation.
Mayor Mahabala Maarla in his speech said, "Surathkal has become part of Mangaluru city and the credit goes to the builders. Mangaluru is a place where people live together in a society. There is no discrimination. We have to keep the city clean and save kids from the diseases. Builders should join hands with the MCC in keeping the city clean".
Mangaluru North MLA B A Mohideen Bawa, CREDAI president Pushparaj Jain, chairman of health committee at MCC, Ashok Shetty, zilla panchayat member Melwyn D'Souza, corporators Prathibha Kulai, Thilak Raj, Gunashekhar Shetty,Mohammed Ayaz, Abdul Khadar Bawa among others were present on the occasion.
