Kundapur, Jan 9: Newly appointed SP of Udupi, K Annamalai, apparently embarrassed by advertisements in the media congratulating him, has requested to people and newspaper editors, not to post such advertisements.

He said that he has taken over the charge on the orders of the department and for no other reason. “I am confident of working in the position diligently and sincerely. Advertisements may obstruct my duties and those who like to congratulate me may do so at my office.” he said.

Good point , publishing ads to commemorate people travelling abroad, wining medals , degrees etc. sound so silly. As if you are trying to show off or trying to be in the good books of influential personnel.

I feel this is a very wise point from the officer.
