Mangalore, Dec 19: Karavali Vikasa Vedike which has been supporting the establishing of Nagarjuna power plant at Nandikur and surrounding areas has now asked Udupi MP Manorama Madhwaraj to stop opposing Nagarjuna and fight for some other serious matters faced by fisheries community.

Speaking at a face-to-face programme about Nagarjuna held at Mulki recently, KVV president A C Mendon asked Manorama to fight for many more and serious problems faced by fishermen.  "Instead of posing for this protest, the MP should think about the plight of fishermen living by seaside in the coastal district.  Let her first rescue these fishermen from CRZ rules," he suggested.

A lot of confusion has been created in the minds of the people about Nagarjuna.  People have been constantly misled by some sections of the society.  None of the Nagarjuna pipeline is going through any of the temples, churches of mosques of the region.

Various information about the project, company was provided to the gathering on the occasion. KVV vice-presidentg Harish Putran asked the Nagarjuna deptuty manager Veena Shetty, who too was present, to provide the locals with ample job opportunities in the coming years.

Thenka Yermal GP president Puttamma Shriyan, Lokesh and others were present on the dais.
