KMCA Doha to hold Family Fiesta on Feb 6

Doha, Jan 11: Karanataka Muslim Cultural Association (KMCA) has officially announced the much anticipated Family Fest - "KMCA Family Fiesta 2015" in a humble gathering at Indian Cultural Centre, Doha, Qatar.

KMCA President Niyaz Ahmed announced the event with the release of the Official Flyer for the KMCA Family Fiesta 2015 along with the executive committee. The event date is February 6.

The event will be held at the Loyola International School, Qatar, a premier institution for education with activity-based learning techniques to help children exceed and achieve greater heights for each of their future endeavors, located at Al-Andalus Street, Al-Nasr Area.

The event is being handled by the KMCA Ladies wing and will have a Cooking Competition for women and Henna Competition for women, Drawing Competition for children along with a Culinary Skills workshop for women and a Basic Life Saving Training for Families. The event will start at 2:30pm with the Competitions. As part of the event, there will be a Bazaar with various stalls for garments, accessories, henna and face painting, woodwork, handicrafts, books, plants, reused items, and food. The Bazaar will be open to general public from 5pm onwards with a Prize distribution ceremony starting at 7pm. The event is scheduled to close by 9pm.

KMCA President Niyaz Ahmed was happy to annouce the event officially and thanked the executive committee and the ladies wing for their enthusiasm towards conducting events for the community and furthering the objectives of KMCA.

KMCA is currently holding the Youth Leadership Programme (YLP) a 9 session proven format for Children under the age of 18 years. The YLP is being conducted under the KMCA Toastmasters Club,The 28 participating children YLP will be completed on Tuesday, the 13th of January 2015 with a closing ceremony scheduled on the same day.

He was also very grateful for the support pledged by other organisations to make KMCA Family Fiesta 2015 a successful event. Representatives of other organisations such as South Kanara Muslim Welfare Association (SKMWA), Kundapura Taluk Welfare Association (KTWA), Indian Friends Circle (IFC), Social Forum, Hannan Cricket Club, Hidayah Foundation and Maymar Friends Circle attended the function.

    Many congratulations to KMCA and especially to President Niyaz Ahmed for coming up with this novel endeavor.
    The ladies wing at KMCA deserves all appreciation for conceptualizing the whole ladies day to a Family Fiesta scale.
