Dubai : Pakistani driver kidnaps woman, rapes her in vehicle


Dubai, Jan 13 (Emirates 247) : A driver is on trial in Dubai for kidnapping a woman in his vehicle, taking her to an isolated place and raping her in the vehicle.

According to Dubai Prosecution, the victim GN, 28, saleswoman, Ugandan national, was waiting for a taxi after work in Hamriyah at around midnight.

She had been waiting for about 10 minutes when the accused GPH, Pakistani, 41, appeared before her and offered to take her in his mini bus.

After she entered the mini bus, the accused took her to a quiet area, took out a card and claimed that he was a police official. He demanded and took her identity card and mobile phone and locked them in his vehicle.

The accused claimed that the victim’s colleague had made a police complaint, but when the victim asked him to accompany her to the police station, he refused.

Then the accused started to grope the woman which she resisted strongly. The accused then shouted at her and forced her to the backseat of the vehicle where he raped her.

The accused then drove her to the place where he had picked her up and dropped her there after giving her his mobile phone number.

Dubai Public Prosecution has charged the accused on four counts – kidnap, assault, rape and impersonation.

Medical examination of the car confirmed the presence of the accused’s sperm on the back seat of the vehicle.
