Building cribs has been vogue for centuries. People indeed use art and talent to build cribs. At one time statues of Jesus and Mary and child Jesus and the shepherds - three kings and sheep used to be prepared with clay in the respective houses. Growing grass with fields was a time consuming art. There used to be a lot of excitement while evolving strategies for putting up fountains.

In present times one can buy ready made statues etc. and the work load on the young architects is not that much.

Hope these traditions will be kept up by the generations to follow.

I join several others in saying congrats to the winners of the crib contest.

Dear Organizers, I was one of the six finalist from Dubai ed by you for the crib competition. I was very much surprised to read the result of the crib competition. Though you mentioned in your previous email that your persons will visit the place personally to judge the winners, nobody visited our place to see the crib or no one called us from the organizing committee. I was waiting until today hoping that somebody will come to see the crib. I am glad here to mention that I am the proud 2nd place winner of Konkan Yuva Dubai crib competition this year (for same crib). Although I am not behind the prizes, a physical look at the crib made by me would have given me more satisfaction than winning a prize. Congratulation for all the winners.
