Mangaluru: SP warns against attempts to disrupt peace - More CCTV cameras planned

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Jan 19: Through a press release, Dakshina Kannada superintendent of police, Dr Sharanappa, has noted the programme, 'Virat Hindu Hridaya Sangama' that was held near Lord Mahalingeshwara Temple at Puttur had concluded in a peaceful manner under the aegis of Vishwa Hindu Parishat and Bajrang Dal on January 16.

He noted that pelting of stones between people of two different religions had occurred when participants were returning from the above programme, at Karaya in Uppinangady. This had given rise to heightened tensions, and senior police officials had promptly visited the spot and brought the situation under control, he noted.

'Our department has already set up 56 closed circuit television cameras (CCTV) in various places in the distrct. After the said incident at Karaya, miscreants have been making attempts to disrupt peace in Beltangady and Puttur taluks. In this background, steps are being taken to identify sensitive areas and install CCTV cameras in sufficient numbers to keep an eye on the movement of anti social elements,' he explained.

The SP noted that the police have already identified about 82 sensitive areas in connection with the above incidents, and to post staff there. He said that one assistant superintendent of police, two deputy superintendents of police, five circle police inspectors, 27 police sub-inspectors, 20 assistant police sub-inspectors, 365 head constables and constables, a contingent of district armed reserve police, ten contingents of Karnataka State Reserve Police, and one Rapid Action Force have been entrusted with the task of patrolling these troubled areas and keep vigil. Steps have also been taken for arranging special night patrolling and vehicle checks, he added.

Dr Sharanappa noted that various organizations, institutions and members of the public have already been cooperating with the police department in maintaining peace, law and order in the society. He warned that suitable legal steps would be taken if miscreants try to disturb peace in the society in the coming days.

No need to install cctvs which become nonfunctional within few days. What is needed is to identify antisocial elements and book them under goonda act. Identifying troublemakers is not a big issue for the police, if they have the will to do it.

Good move to Install cctv......but SP should know that although function was peaceful...The delegates of the functions were not peaceful.. Mr Kalladka bhatt and togadia used hindutva function to mock other faiths...I think hindutva means mocking other faith coz it has nothing to offer from hindu religion itself....these guys mocked at muslims and christian faith and advised to use swords...Was it peaceful...Any sane person who watched the function would know that these blabbers were using filthy languages ...this is what sanghis teaches them and you call them cultured ..This function was made to arouse people emotion...I think well hatched plan...i.e why those who indulged in riots had carried swords and stones in their pickup ....
Still this caste hierarchy is followed....would K.P.bhatt and his family or caste people would become foot soldiers ...nay...it wont happen...family members of this caste people are all in high yielding jobs working abroad i.e good but ...only lower caste people are made as foot soldiers they are the one who are made to indulge in riots and they are the one who are sent to jail and the mothers are made to weep...This K.P bhatt and his family will always be safe...
Next time ask him we lower caste people will sit in podium let your caste people and family member become foot soldiers...Then hipocrisy of K.P will be exposed...you would find negligible members to take that role...

I would like to ask CongRSS supporters some question here.

1.Why to blame BJP and Chaddis always. They are trying to implement their communal idology of Hindu Talibainsation.

2.From congRSS What justice minorities getting from this communal riots?

3.What action Ramanth Rai took to curb this mushroom like developing Right wing orgainsation?

4.What action did Home minster took against KPB abd their goondas?

Everytime CongRSS promises so many things but nothing will be done once come to power.

CongRSS wants minority votes not minorities. Remember it.

What kind of strict action on the motivating hate speech made by kalladka bhat in the same programme. He abused muslims and christains with very cheap languages but in tulu which our honourable courts cannot understand.Just few days back in charge minister made a speech in beary language with big thanks giving but now its the real time to practically proove the spoken words of SHUKRIYA.The DARPOK congress totally voiceless in coastal districts .

    Only warning?

Why allowed the right wing terrorists to come with weapons and stones in pickups?

Why allowed barking dogs to bark in public places?

Why allowed mob to destroy mosques?

When such programs are happening you should have expected these people will be brainwashed by batta and kattas and they will come down for anything.

Why cant make strong case against those who attacked small kids and women?

It is good to install cameras. But who is going to analyse the data and report the truth.... It will be chaddi police...
This officer could not inform his counterpart in Kerala about the presence of BHAGODA TAGODIA in DK. It was his moral duty to do so, but he did not do that. Then we can be assured of the outcome of cameras...

the police dept should take a strict action against those who started pelting stones. then it wont happen in future. we may recall the ulaibettu incident. but the tragedy is our politicians are protecting some law breakers & putting pressure on police dept. vote bank politics is dangerous to our country.

The police should take a strict action against all criminals. See yesterday what happened, a druggist is taken in judicial custody for 2 weeks for selling the medicine without prescriptions. 25 sanghi activists were arrested with loads of stones were given IMMEDIATE BAIL...Prasanth I am with you for giving hard punishment to the criminals and to the cattle thieves and brokers.. But it should not be ive. See how the Bhagoda TAGODIA is roaming freely with immunity, when there is a court arrest warrant against him......Can you tell me WHY WHY WHY WHY ???? ......

not only thogadia there are many such kind of examples are there. but we people are highlighting only those names to whom we don't like. my logic is very clear whether any mistake/criminal/communical/illegal activity done by any person then we should condemn that incident/person without considering his religion/popularity. if we go behind the name/religion then we don't have the morality to talk on such subjects. bcoz in such case we are indirectly supporting the incident/person.
