Mangaluru, Jan 19: The Rahmania Dargah Masjid Shariff located at Nadupalli in Adyar Kannur here stands in the midst of River Netravati. Thousands of people took part in the Uroos of this Dargah held on Saturday January 17.

The uniqueness of their visit to the Dargah Shariff Uroos lies in the fact that a temporary bridge was made available to the devotees to walk through to the Dargah by lining up nearly 80 boats one besides the other from the river bank to the Dargah.

This mosque, which is about 400 years old, is surrounded by River Netravati which flows serenely around an isle where this ancient mosque is located. About 50,000 people took part in the Uroos held this year in spite of the fact that the mosque is surrounded by water. Normally people use boats to reach the Dargah and bow before the tombs of the saints here. However, for the Uroos, they did not have to take this trouble, as a unique bridge was laid out for their convenience.

Tombs of three saints, who had spent their entire lives in providing spiritual guidance to the people, are located at this Dargah. Bodies of three persons, two brothers and a sister, had flown from west to east to this spot. The bodies were seen to be having some divine powers. The people had arranged to bury them and build their tombs on the right side of the mosque. Since then, people across different religions have made it a practice to visit the Dargah and seek fulfillment of their wishes.

This Dargah is well known for granting the wishes of farmers. There are many instances in which farmers, troubled by lack of rain, came here, made gruel mixed with jaggery as is customary, distributed it among the needy, and prayed for rain. Heavy rain soaked them on their way back. To celebrate these divine powers, every year, Uroos and other religious programmes are organized.

Another unique feature of this Dargah is the presence of two sweet water wells in the area, although normally wells in the vicinity of the sea have salty taste. Water from these wells are used by the people living in the locality. This place has provided succour and relief to people facing problems over the centuries. People who face problems in their lives including sickness come here to seek blessings and find solace and solution to their problems out of the divinity of this Dargah.

    ASAK,
    Brothers and sisters in Islam,

I regret to see Muslims inspite of knowing what is right and wrong, you are going backward.

Dargha Sharif Pics very good, in the books. Daiji done good job to show all of us the pic and place of our Dargah Sharif, Thank you once again . good job.

Ultimately and finally I wanna say just one word to our Muslim Community just to believe Allah - Masha'Allah And follow Mohammed SAS the Prophet,Alhamdulillah.

Just Don't bow to the grave yards, pray for the dead, its ok, ask what you want in your prayers to Allah - Masha'Allah, your prayers will be heard.

You are giving wrong information about islam to the public. This is not a matter of Daring but it is all about Hidayath. Present me a single Hadees to prove that Darga / Uroos is correct. There are people who believe in heaven and hell and there are people who disbelieve in heaven and hell. All these people are on the same boat. All of them are going on arguing about something that they do not know.

You are following a belief systems given by some one who believed it.

Anything which is not in your present level of experience cannot be understood. The only option is that you have to believe or disbelieve what I say. If you believe me, it does not get you anywhere anyway. If you disbelieve me, still it does not get you anywhere.

If you believe me, you will fool yourself because without really knowing, you will simply pretend to know. If you disbelieve me, you will destroy the possibility to know something that is not in your experience.

The crowds gathered there are not worshiping the saints rather they are visiting the tomb in respect of them. Visiting the tomb is not worship. God sent the Prophet(s.a) to the world to show how to worship Almighty God, It is clear that he and those rightly guided predecessors never do such unislamic acts, every thing is clearly mentioned in the Holy Book. So if any thing added to the religion after Prophet's (s.a) death, is not part of and those are misguidance.

    Isaiah 38:18
For the grave cannot praise you, death cannot sing your praise those who go down to the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.

    Psalm 6:5
Among the dead no one proclaims your name. Who praises you from the grave?

    Quran
And indeed We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people, and he said: "O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him . Will you not then be afraid (of Him i.e. of His Punishment because of worshipping others besides Him)?"
And We sent to them a Messenger from among themselves (saying): "Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. Will you not then be afraid (of Him i.e. of His Punishment because of worshipping others besides Him)?"

And mix not truth with falsehood, nor conceal the truth [i.e. Muhammad Peace be upon him is Allah's Messenger and his qualities are written in your Scriptures, the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] while you know (the truth) .

We have sent thee inspiration, as We sent it to Noah and the Messengers after him: we sent inspiration to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and solomon, and to David We gave the Psalms.

    Indeed HE is one!!

The direct connection that we have with our creator is one of our biggest blessings and we should spend more time in establishing this connection rather spending time in finding mediators to establish this connection.
May allah guide us all in the right way and forgive our shortcomings.
