Daijiworld Media Network - Bantwal (SP)

Bantwal, Jan 20: A person who had entered the house of a married woman in Anantady village near Vittal during the day on Friday when she was alone, raped her and fled after threatening her of murdering her if she revealed about the rap to her husband or others. A team of Vittal police made the arrest. On being produced in the court, he was remanded to judicial custody.

Naveen (30) from Karinka had raped the lady, who happens to be the mother of two. Locals said that Naveen is addicted to liquor and ganja, and is in the habit of chasing good-looking girls.

On Monday morning, the policemen got information that the accused was in Kadeshwalya. A team of Vittal police rushed there and took him into custody. Station house officer of Vittal, Raghavendra T R, and other personnel were involved with the operation.

I think people do tend to feel good about themselves by posting some comments about the appropriate punishment that need to be meted out for the accused. They dont even understand that such punishments cannot be carried out in a democratic society were they trespass on various other rights in a constitution.

Further more i say that those to recommend strict punishment are bunch of hypocrites, cause if the accused was their close relative they would go from pillar to pillar to claim that the person is framed and would rejoice the fact the person is out on bail.

    Masif,

Its sad that the incidents of rape do get hijacked by politicians and right wing groups. These cans can change only if we people get educated ourself and dont respond to these politicians and right wingers making the issue communal.

Holy Quran says only good things. But it is interpreted in different ways as per convenience by different people and so Islam is misunderstood among non muslims.

Here too Sakshi Maharaj had urged Hindu couple to have 4 children, but sick minds like you interpret it according to your convenience that you can rape someone!

    Yes or No??
    This is a separate addiction.
