I recently met with an accident, i was unhurt because the truck had a rear bumper which reduced accident impact. why doesnt RTO take stringent action to make the rear guard compulsory..

PANAMBUR CIRCLE IS VERY VERY DANGEROUS CIRCLE AS MANY ROADS ARE JOINING HERE WITHOUT PROPER TRAFFIC PLAN. IT IS KNOWN THAT MANY VEHICLES ARE TAKING (L&R) TURN, U TURN, CROSSING, PEDESTRIAN CROSSING, IN THE SMAILL CIRCLE. THERE IS NO PROPER TRAFFIC SIGNAL, NO TRAFFIC PERSONS IN THE MORNING, LUNCH AND LATE EVENING. MOSTLY NMPT LORRIES, NMPT STAFF ARE USING THIS CIRCLE. SO, NMPT CAN PROVIDE PROPER ARRANGEMENTS TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM OR THEY CAN INSIST HIGHWAY AUTHORITIES TO CONSTRUCT FLYOVER. WHY NMPT WAS NOT INSISTED WELL BEFORE THE COMMENCEMENT OF HIGHWAY WORKS. ANOTHER POINT IS NMPT VEHICLES ARE PASSING IN WRONG DIRECTION NEAR MCF LEVEL CROSSING IT MAY CAUSE HUGE ACCIDENT. WHY AUTHORITIES ARE KEEPING SILENT ON ROAD ISSUE. PUBLIC ARE ALSO NOT BOTHERED. THE ROAD CONDITION FROM MANGALORE TO SURATHKAL IS VERY POOR AS THERE ARE MANY POTHOLES IN THESE AREA. MANY VIP'S, POLITICIANS, RESPONSIBLE OFFICERS ARE USING THESE ROADS EVERYDAY. WHAT IS THE USE?. THERE ARE MANY SIMILAR JUNCTIONS IN MANGALORE i.e.KPT, NANTHOOR, PUMPWELL, BAIKAMPADY, SURATHKAL ETC.

There is very much Lack of Lane Discipline on NH-66. Especially Trucks and Heavy Duty Vehicles keep their Vehicles on Right Side of the road which forces other vehicles to overtake from left.

Very sad, mother son duo seriously injured in car crash, wish they recover soon!!

Looking at the intensity of the crash, looks like the driver dozed off or pressed the gas pedal instead of the brakes!!

I fully agree with Eric Coelho, Mangalore's comment of keeping a distance of 8ft between the vehicles but unfortunately nobody follows this rule.Besides everybody is in hurry and no patience to wait for a second.Rash and negligence driving of auto drivers and two-wheeler drivers are another nuisance in the city.Overall entire traffic system should be overhauled in the city in particular and in the state in general with proper foot path,Zebra-crossing for pedestrians and signals at all the major meeting, approaching junctions.Very sad incident.Pray for the speedy recovery of mother and son.God bless them

Looking at the car it seems that the car driver was in a hurry. As per rules every vehicle should keep 8ft distance between each vehicle but we don't even keep 6 inches distance. No Driving Sense.

Accidents hit headlines these days. The spurt of accidents have increased at an alarming rate during the past few years. Unless some very strict measures are taken and enforced accidents will continue the momentum.
