Gangolli unrest: Over 40 arrested, Section 144 to continue till Jan 25

Daijiworld Media Network - Kundapur (RJP)

Kundapur, Jan 22: The situation in Gangolli town which observed bandh on Wednesday January 21 after miscreants set fire to the shop belonging to Venkatesh Shenoy is under control, without any major incidents being reported since Wednesday evening.

The section 144 which was imposed on January 21 will continue till January 25 midnight in Gangolli, Trasi and Gujjadi areas.

A pro-Hindu organization had called for the bandh in protest of the fire incident which had damaged 2 cars, a transport vehicle and other goods in the shop. The protestors had stopped the movement of vehicles near the Gangolli Rama Mandir after learning about the fire incident in the morning.

During the afternoon, people from one community allegedly attacked a person named Satish Bhandary. The attack was said to be of grave nature. A person named Santosh was also admitted to hospital after sustaining injuries in another incident of assault.

Later another group pelted stones at a house and Moideen Jumma Masjid near Urban bank. During this time Maulana Mira Sahib from the Masjid sustained injuries on his hands. The house belonging to Asma Abdul Rahim was also attacked. Raziya and Amina were admitted to hospital after sustaining injuries in this attack.

Several arrested

It is learnt that more than 40 persons have been arrested relating to the unrest in the area. Out of these, 12 persons have been booked for interrupting peace in the area. The arrests have been made in connection to the clashes and not the fire incident.

A welder has been suspected of playing a major role in the fire incident, but he has been absconding. A Maruti car used by him has been seized. It is also claimed that a miscreant has been detained by police.

Three KSRP, five DAR platoons and hundreds of police personnel have been deployed in the town to maintain peace.

Department failed to arrest real culprits who put a fire..
    1) Agar sahee culprits ko arrest karte (jo CCTV par hai), tho ye sab haadisa nahi hotha.
    2) Jab gharo par hamla karne aate hai, phattaro ki baarish hothi hai, Aur us wakt khud ki raksha karne k liye haath utaate hai tho Mujrim kehlaate hai. YAHEE INSAAF HAI??
Jo SP saheb ko open dhamki dete hai woh araam se ghoom rahe hai... VERY SAD.. EVERY ONE NEED PEACE IN GANGOLLI and All over India.

This is one of the core reasons why the law of the land always impartial towards the minorities. Even in Ulaibettu incident, one of the swamis threaten to kill the SP, saying "EVATTHU AA POLICE OFFICER NA VADHE AAGA BEKU".
Hamara sanvidhan kehata hai qanoon andha hota hai, lekin haqeeqath me aqliyatho ke liye qanoon ke aankh hamesha khule rehte hai.
Here money and power over taking the law.

people don't want bjp or congress. they want the punishment for those who set fire on venkatesh shenoy shop & vehicles. why majority & minority concept is required. while doing this kind of act nobody worried about majority or minority concept but after that all will come & say about community. why we need to support those people.

144 section, kal subah 10.00am se start hotha tho aaj itne logon ko hiraasat me lene ki zaroorat hi nahi thi. Subah se road block, tyre jalana, isi wakt 144 jaari karte tho itna badaa haadisa pesh nahi hotha, aur sirf 3-4 log jo shop ko Aag lagaye the unhee ko CCTV proof dwaara pakda jaa sakta tha, but aisa nahi huwa..
Department subah se khamoosh raha, fir woh log school band kiye, gharo par phattar maarna, gharo par ghuske awraton k saat bahes aur hathapaayi,jo bhi raaste par mile unki dhulaayi karna, ye sab kuch hone ke baad shaam k wakt secton 144.
1 Video clip hai jisme SP ANNAMALAI ko dhamki de rahe hai muslims ko target karke..
    1) "AWARU RAATRI BENKI HAAKIDDARE NAAWU BELIGGE BENKI HAAKTEWE"
    2) "AAWATTU BAATLY BISAAKDE IDDARE BENKIYE BEEDUDILLA IDDITTU"

SP Annamalai saab, very good officer, inhee ko is tarhan se dhamki de rahe hai tho aam aadmi ka kya hoga??

Is it 144 or curfew clamped. I suggest the curfew should be imposed for one week. let the people suffer.

Kusuma Nellore, we appreciate your concern for Gangolly by sitting in Nellore.. If the goonda / rowdy people want godhra kanda, it is not difficult for them. They are capable of doing any thing.
Yesterday the SP has to face rowdy challenges from the Goonda Public. they were challenging the SP ' IF THEY SET FIRE IN NIGHT, WE CAN SET FIRE DURING DAY TIME, "" This video clip is in circulation. any one can verify it....Any how the SP has digested the challenge, and has imposed 144, which has made the public to sit in houses.. in fact CURFEW should be imposed for ONE WEEK MINIMUM....Then we can see how the goondas and rowdies are going to challenge..
