Kareena Kapoor feels threatened by VHP

Mumbai, Jan 22: Actress Kareena Kapoor has recently needed to increase her security detail as she feels threatened by factions such as Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) who seem to be out to get Hindu women who have married Muslim men. Kareena has hired two bodyguards apart from increasing the security around her Bandra residence.

Rajni Thukral, who publishes the magazine, that is attributed to the VHP women's wing, had said in an interview that many young women were getting influenced by the actions of popular women like Kareena. The wing is working to curb what they claim to be an unhealthy influence on the minds of the Hindu youth. Kareena and Saif Ali Khan had received similar threats at the time of their wedding for marrying into different religions.

Splashed across the cover of Durga Vahini magazine, morphed as a half Hindu - half Muslim woman, the actress seems to have interpreted this pic as a direct message of her being targeted. The picture that went viral within no time, showed half her face adorned in bindi and kumkum, and the other half covered in a hijaab. The picture was a presentation of the phenomenon titled,
"Love Jihad" which is said to be an operation under which Muslim boys lure Hindu women under the pretence of love to convert to Islam.

She is presently busy shooting for her movie 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' opposite Salman Khan. Soon after she will start work on 'Udta Punjab' with Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor.
