Al Khobar: heLPy organizes cricket tourney for noble cause

Rakah, Jan 25: heLPy organized its first cricket tournament for a noble cause recently at SABSA cricket ground in Rakah (Al-Khobar). The tournament was inaugurated by the founding Presidents Abdul Rafiq, Bava Shabu Beary and Mohiddin Bava. Mohammed Riyaz then explained the rules and regulations of the tournament to the players present. It was a well-organized event which finished in a great style. 8 teams participated in the tournament. The tournament was led by Mohammed Riyaz, Mohammed Asif Weatherford, Asif Aramex and Zafrulla Weatherford. All the heLPy team members worked hard to make this event a grand success.

















Final was played between Khobar United and Expertise. KU won the toss and elected to bat. They scored 86 for 6 wickets in 8 overs. In reply expertise scored 79/8 in 8 overs. KU won by 7 runs. Fayaz and Faisal from KU scored 20 each. Top scorer for expertise was Siyadwith 25 runs. Khobar United bowled really well and strong. Akthar took 2 wickets in 2 overs giving 15 runs and Fayaz took 2 wickets in 2 overs giving 16 runs. Man of the match was Fayaz from Khobar United. Best bowler was Akhtar from Khobar United Best batsman Samad from BlueStar and Man of the Series was Cheeku from expertise.

The tournament was concluded with the prize distribution ceremony. All the teams and heLPy team members co-operated very well with full of enthusiasm. We thank all the people involved in the success for all their support and whole hearted contribution.
