Advocate turns actor in 'Patra'

Chennai, Jan 26 (IANS): Sam Paul, an advocate, will enthrall Tamil movie audiences in an important role in upcoming thriller "Patra". He says he thoroughly enjoyed playing a dark character in his debut film.

"I was approached by director Jayantan to play one of the leads in the film. It was my cold look that was instrumental in getting me this opportunity. Few people who've seen the rushes of the film are of the opinion that my role demanded a senior villain and I had perfectly fit the bill," Sam told IANS.

"It was fun playing a character with dark shades. But it was very difficult to manage the extremely hard stunts. It required much more effort than I thought," he said.

Although Sam has been getting calls for other projects, he's only focused on the release of "Patra".
