UAE: Mangaluru team beat Tamil Nadu to win Kabaddi Fest

UAE, Jan 29: The Arjuna Archery Arts and Sports Club, UAE organized its first all-India level Kabaddi Fest on January 23 at GMC University Ground, Ajman behind Khalifa Hospital.

Altogether 26 teams from different states took part in the fest, among which 21 were from Kerala, 4 from Tamil Nadu and one team representing Karnataka.

In the first semi-finals, New Bharath Kannangal beat Finex Kalachara with 17-13 points. In the second semi-final New Mark beat Victory Palla with 19-18 points.

The final match was held between New Mark, Mangaluru and New Bharath Kannangal, Tamil Nadu. Mangaluru team emerged winners beating Tamil Nadu team 21-19.

The New Bharath Kannangal team is owned by Al Quoz Contracting Company and the Mangaluru team is owned by Noel D'Almeida and Naveen Salian.
