Bantwal: Elusive for four years, accused in assault cases finally arrested

Bantwal, Jan 30: The Vittal police, who had been looking for an accused since the last four years, finally succeeded in arresting him near Bayar on Thursday January 29.

The accused had evaded arrest all these years, after being a part of three assault cases.

The arrested accused has been identified as Abdul Rahiman alias Adram (35).

After taking part in three cases of assault, Abdul Rahiman had gone to a foreign country and been successful in remaining elusive till now.

On getting information that he had come back to his native place, Vittal police sub-inspector, Raghavendra T R and other policemen raided his place and arrested the accused. The police said that Rahiman was produced in the court, and that the court has impounded his passport.
