Stray dog menace can be really terrible, Remember my days in Manipla when i used to walk near the greens area Once a group of dogs really attacked me and my friend, We were walking and somehow escaped. The stray dogs when united can be more dangerous than a tiger, They are so powerful I feel the government must sterilize stray dogs so that their population will coem down and people will be safe Feeling sad for the young lady

As you said dogs population can be controlled, but you must be aware that there is going to be a human population explosion soon , have you picturised yourself sharing your food and water with others then we all will lead a dogs life.

I do ride a two wheeler and have used the Mangalore roads after midnight and a kennel attacks you do not get afraid just travel normal on the road. The dogs attack only in the nights. But there are some mad dogs (bus drivers and hi-end car owners/drives) who think they are the owners of the Mlore roads and mostly during the day. Beware of the mad dogs during the day who are worse than the dogs in the night. RIP Bindu and pray for the family.

Feeling sorry for the family, specially the little kids of this mother..not sure what goes through their mind, hopefully some angel can take care of them as her own kids and fill in the void left by their birth mother..

We buy protective covers for the phone but not always follow to wear helmet, it could have prevented some injuries to head..

Namma Kudla naraka pathina ooru apund...! In Mangalore left side of the road stray Dogs chase the Bikers and people get scared about it,fall of bike and die. Right side of the road Bus drivers act like Mad Dogs and chase the bikers to their death. Front side Rowdy and stupid brain dead bikers show off their Stunts and knock decent riding bikers to the ground. So bikers rides are getting tough.
What Siddu Ponnappa said is very truth. I have noticed this behaviour and asked previous ACP about this. He said to me" I had stopped a women carrying a little boy on bike and suggested about Her long Strap Hand Bag swinging. Women rolled Her eyes towards Me and asked Me if there is a law against carrying hand bag". So He told Her"It is your life and Play with it as you please". Ladies were riding the bikes smoother and carefully. Now a days they challenge the Boys in equal rights in speed. Ladies remember, your little daughter or little sister needs you as a role model to grow up.

It is pointless blaming the dogs and the like. Just observe in M'lore city women on the pillion of two wheelers - have you? With 2 or even 3 children and/or using mobiles, shopping bags, dupattas or scarfs flying and they precariously seated even with legs crossed. There is absolutely no grip or safety and it is a wonder that the changes in momentum of the two wheelers on bad roads and lawless traffic do not cause more accidents than the many we read of. It is the duty of those on two wheelers to adhere to safe methods and sensible riding. Safety first is totally absent - no point in blaming other causes.

When i was going to school (25 years ago) in bicycle i got chased by a stray dog almost every day. It was very hard to escape. The dog was standing in the road side and as soon as i reached that spot in the bicycle, it would come chasing me barking loudly. The first few days i peddled as fast as i could escaping the attack but this was very dangerous. He almost attacked me (kind of just miss). Next few days i tried stopping the bicycle when the dog came chasing and stared at him with my angry eyes and shouted at him loudly 'lakkumbe naayyiii'. The dog would then stand in a distance fearing me. As soon as i got into the bicycle the dog would start chasing me again.I would again brake and stop the bicycle. The dog would repeat the same act of stopping when i stopped and chasing when i started. I wish i had a pistol or gun to shoot him down at once. Stupid stray dog.

When i was going to school (25 years ago) in bicycle i got chased by a stray dog almost every day. After some days, i realized there was no point in running or stopping every time i was chased. Instead , i took some bread pieces with me and fed those dogs. AFter a week or so the dogs stopped chasing me.

So carry a pepper spar to chase away humans and carry some bread to chase away dogs..

    Mr. Vincent,
Even dogs are also creation of a your beloved God, and he has chosen a few with compassion towards them and you seem to be the unfortunate one. Being an animal lover doesn't mean I take the whole responsibility of every stray dog, and don't worry give another 5 years all the dogs will be extinct at the rate at which neutering is taking place and then you will start barking at all the human beings as they will be the worst nuisance ever.these kind of cases are one in a lakh otherwise the don't usually chase.

Mr. So called Vincent. I feel pity on your cheap thoughts .If you are not an animal lover then please keep your cheap thoughts with u itself rather spreading to whole world.God has created all the living beings and dogs especially are such a loyal and beautiful creature.Yes i agree it was such a horrific incident but same goes to humans as well. Nowadays i find people crossing over the road like fools then how can you blame such innocent souls?? if you have any issues near your house then report it to Municipality and sort it out rather pointing fingers at others!!
