Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (MD)

Mangaluru, Jan 30: A youth was allegedly stabbed by a group of 8 persons in a bus near Balmatta here on Friday January 30.

Muzammil (22), a civil engineer by profession, was stabbed on his stomach and shoulder and has been admitted to hospital.

Muzammil said that when he was in the bus, a man stood near him and deliberated blocked him by placing his hand close to Muzammil's face. When Muzammil asked him to put down his hand, the man retorted that he should go and stand somewhere else. He even allegedly passed provocative remarks about the community Muzammil's belongs to.

Muzammil said that when he tried to advice the man, seven others joined him and stabbed Muzammil on his stomach and shoulder and fled.

Moreover, Muzammil identified his attackers as Sachin, Sajith, Varun, Deepak, Chetan, Pradeep and Prashanth, and said they were his high school classmates.

Police said that Muzammil and his attackers are friends and used to play volleyball with him in the evenings. Internal conflict is the reason for the attack, the police said, adding that Muzammil has not revealed all details.

A case has been registered in Kadri police station.

Please don't make it a political/ Religious issue, let them resolve internally and let them continue playing football. The issue seems from a wrong goal in the field.

These incidences of attacks reflect upon the disoriented Modi regime and its idiosyncrasy's. If black listing Modi and denying him entry to the US was not enough then what else is?.The hate mongers have vested interests and they have delivered speeches of hate among the gullible so as to only further polarize the society and worsen the existing situation.Mercy !!!!.These brutes have attacked a youthful engineer with knives.Denounce this act of violence strongly.

@Pramod Kundapura..I will never comment unless I know someone's old deeds. Even if it is so, do we have the right to stab in a group? Why we have law then?? Will you say the same thing if someone (your old classmates) come and stab you in Kundapur? @HENRY MISQUITH... does it mean that if some one DO NOT look like shareef, we just stab them? Why it is all happening in Mangalore? It is because RSS , Ram Sena, BJP, Yuva Sena taught to see people based on religious ground during my college days and it still continues. I am told to "Garv se kaho hum Hindu hai but never taught Garv se kaho hum Indian hai" That is the bottom line, no one teaches about deshprem and the party which calles itself deshpremi made money even from coffins of our brave soldiers during Kargil war. We need compulsory military like Singapore for every citizen from age 16, that will instill deshprem
