Jet Airways, that is welcome news of the New Year. I travel from New York to Mangaluru often but I have to travel via Mumbai which is a waste of time. This way I an travel from New York (JFK) by Ithiad to Abu Dhabi and take the connecting flight to Mangaluru by Jet Airways. That is fantastic.

Jet airways should originate flights fro DOH (QATAR), just like Abu Dhabi (AUH). Most of the international flights have non stop flights from US to AUH, DOH and BXB Jet should fly from these airports to IXE to provide real competition to the ailing and substandard Air India Express

Good work Jet airways. It would be wonderful if Jet Airways decides to fly daily flights to Muscat as well from Mangalore. Currently only Air India express is operating, for 3 days, which is the worst airline in times of comfort, behavior of flight staff, food quality and service.Jet airways please come to the rescue to get rid of Air India express.

Mr.Viraj, I fully agree with you. AirIndia Express services and also behavior of the Cabin Crew is too rude. And since recent past AirIndia express does not serve cool drinks or alcohol (paid) in the flight.

I am happy that jet airways will start a direct flight from Abu dhabi to Mangalore which was long due, Air india express flight to Mangalore was via Muscat and it used to be a tiring jouney given the very hard seat, low leg space, very average food, sky high price ( no longer budget airways),low baggage allowance, and a very average flight journey with a risk of accident. Once a customer Never a customer seems to be the motto of Air India express. Also the attitude of the customes at Mangalore airport has to change, they presume all travellers from Gulf region are Gold smugglers and I hope they will not touch the passengers, because of their bad attitude I land in Bengaloru which s really good.

If you check Jet online bookings from 29 Mar Kuwait-Mangalore, Jet is already showing a connection via Abudhabi, but the timings are leaving Kwt very early morning at 3 which is a bit inconvenient, hopefully they come up with better connection timings for sure they will get a full load and we can forget AIE

Someone needs to put things in perspective. While I am no fan of AIE & have suffered their flights too if you look closely you get what you pay for. On a recent flight last week to Kuwait I realized that the return fare to Kuwait was a total of approx. INR 17,500, of which approx. INR 10,600 was TAX.
It figures that AIE only gets INR 7,500 for a return journey to Kuwait a distance of not less than 7000 KM.
At the end of the day it is our governments greed for TAX that is to blame, not the carriers.

With most of our Mangloreans serving in the Airline industry and many holding very important senior positions must be aware of the sectors their flight services are needed.Hope and pray they expand and cater to all the sectors and the passengers can save a great deal of time,by this timely gesture.

Good news.Convenient timings for departure and arrival. It may also reduce the passenger load IXE-DXD sector which is usually over booked on most days.Passengers travelling Jet Airways on IXE-DXB sector have to put up with the cramp up setting, the seats as well as the isle are narrow and one has to confine narrowly.Discomforts of the low budget carriers I suppose.
