Kasargod: Police arrest man for selling Ganja at beach park

Kasargod, Feb 5: Bekal station police have arrested a notorious ‘Ganja’ dealer for selling the drug at Bekal Beach Park on Wednesday February 4.

The arrested man is Ajanooru resident Harif (38). About 1.5 kg of Ganja was recovered from him. He was arrested on a tip-off that he is selling the drug in the park.

Harif was reportedly selling Ganja to students and youth after at the rate of Rs 100 per packet.

The accused has confessed that he was selling the drug after obtaining it from a bigwig Ganja trader named Karat Naushad. Since he has admitted that he was selling Ganja in Uliyathadka and Theruval, police have said that they will be extending their investigation to those places. The accused said that he has sold Ganja in Puttur, Sullia, and several other places in Karnataka.
