Mangaluru: Myriad colours, creativity at AIMIT 'Insignia Kala Utsav'

Mangaluru, Feb 7: As part of the ongoing B-School Fest ‘Insignia-2015’, the MBA students of AIMIT, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), put up a spellbounding show ‘Kala Utsav’ at the amphitheatre in the AIMIT Campus.


















Themed ‘Namma Kudla’, the opening march consisting of various art forms of Mangaluru such as tiger dance, kangil artists, yakshagana was a treat for the eyes.

Fr (Dr) Oswald Mascarenhas who spearheaded the procession, declared the ‘Kala Utsav’ open by breaking the coconut.

The two-and-half-hour long cultural extravaganza included Kangil dance, classical remix, Bollywood flashback, stunts and pyramid, mime depicting dignity of woman, fashion parade and karaoke.

The AIMIT Band provided the befitting conclusion to the Utsav with heartwarming numbers.

The splendid fireworks lit up the night sky to signal the end of a memorable evening.
