Udupi, Feb 7: The newly constructed Circuit House in Udupi was inaugurated by state revenue minister V Srinivas Prasad here on Saturday, February 7.

Speaking to reporters, Prasad denied any wrong doing by chief minister Siddaramaiah in the Arkavathi land denotification issue and said, "The issue has been discussed for nearly three hours in the Assembly session. The high court will give its verdict after detailed investigation.

"There are no strong evidences about denotification of the land. CM Siddaramaiah has not misused a single inch of Arkavathi land. The issue has been used only to gain political mileage," he said.

"A committee has been formed for judicial inquiry under Justice Kempanna. Whoever wants to submit records on the denotification issue can do so before the committee," he added.

On the land conversion row rocking the state Assembly, he said, "There is no truth in all that. The members of the House should wait till the governor speaks. There is lots of opportunity for open discussion. People should give time for the CM to respond."

Revenue minister believes that, there is no such illegal acts have been found, he cleared.

Regarding Kasturirangan report, he said the state has to collect public opinion and based on that a committee will prepare the report at the earliest.

Regarding ban on VHP leader Pravin Togadia from entering Bengaluru, he said it was the Bengaluru police commissioner's decision and it was taken in accordance with the law.

The construction of the Circuit House building started in September 2014. The foundation stone was laid by the then minister the late Dr V S Acharya. The building has been constructed on total area of 1,639 sq mt at a cost of Rs 2.88 crore.

District-incharge minister Vinay Kumar Sorake, Udupi MLA Pramod Madhwaraj and others were present.
