Mangalore, Jan 12: A bike rally to spread the message of "Communal Harmony" as part of Diamond Jubilee Celebration of ICYM was flagged off by Western Range IGP H N Satyanarayana at Nehru Maidan on Friday January 12 evening.
Mayor Vijaya Arun, ICYM director Fr Elias D'Souza, president Jaison Soares, Diamond Jubilee committee honorary president Ivan D'Souza, secretary Marita D'Souza were also present on the occasion.
The rally will go through Hampankatta, Jyothi Circle, PVS, Lalbagh, Nantoor, Bendorewell, Kankanady before winding up at Roasario Church grounds.
Mulki-Moodbidri constituency MLA Abhaychandra Jain addressed the youth at Lalbagh while former state minister B V Moidin addressed the gathering at Kankanady.
More than 200 youth clad in white T-shirts with banners and flags proclaiming the message of peace and harmony participated in the rally.
