Bengaluru: Siddaramaiah welcomes Delhi verdict with mixed feelings

Bengaluru, Feb 11 (DHNS): The Aam Aadmi Party effect in Delhi was felt even in Bengaluru, with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressing his mixed feelings over the election results on Tuesday.

While he welcomed the AAP victory over the BJP, he admitted that it was a setback to the Congress party.

“It was expected that the AAP will come to power, but not with this kind of a sweeping mandate. With the objective of defeating the BJP being the prime agenda, the Congress’ traditional votes have also gone to the AAP. It is a major setback to the Congress. At the same time, it is evident from the results that the Modi magic did not work,” he said.

Siddaramaiah said that though the BJP was humiliated in the Delhi elections, it cannot be considered as a referendum against the Modi government. “They have been in power for only eight months, let us see how they perform in future,” said Siddaramaiah.

Watershed moment

JD(S) national president H D Deve Gowda opined that the AAP victory will be a watershed of regional parties coming back to power across the country. “The era of the two national parties fighting each other in states has ended. The AAP victory has shown that the regional parties will start coming back to power,” he said.

Gowda hoped that Arvind Kejriwal would at least now bring proper administration to Delhi and prove himself.

Senior Congress MLA Ramesh Kumar said the APP had been able to register a thumping victory in Delhi as the Congress vote has shifted to AAP. “People of Delhi have asked the Congress leaders to take rest as they have served people for long,” he stated.

He ridiculed the BJP for securing only three seats. Opposition leader Jagadish Shettar defended saying that the BJP is far better than Congress which has scored zero. The BJP would have lost, but its vote share has remained intact, he added.

It was always give and take Congress-BJP They may not have dreamt that some other prominent source will come up as secular to promote the good governance. Congress ruled under the name of secular with all corruption and the present ruling dictator only talks but do not deliver - his dynamic ways of holding rallies and giving talks made the people of this country believe in him but at the end it is only corruption and communal disturbance all over. This dictator only talks about business and do not do anything good to the common aam admi and most of the land and what belongs to common man will be sold to the big business houses by the time his term gets over - looks like

    Mr.Deve Gowda,

Don't dream that JD[S] will ever come to power in Karnataka. U r already 85 years old. It is time for U to take rest.We don't want Dynastic family to rule our state. AAP is 26 months old Party. All the AAP candidates who have won election in Delhi r below 50 years old. Karnataka also wants young new, honest people to serve our state. We don't want grand father, sons, grand children & daughter-in-laws from same party to get elected again & again.

DELHI RESULT IS A HISTORY IN INDIAN POLITICS AND IF AAP EXIST AND MAKE ANY IMPACT IN KARNATAKA THEN IT WILL BE A BIG WORRY FOR CONGRESS AND IT WILL EAT CONGRESS SECULAR VOTES AND IT WILL BENEFIT BJP....IN KARNATAKA CONGRESS IS NOT BAD AS IT IS IN DELHI WHERE IT SURRENDERED AND IF ANY VOTE GOES AAP INDIRECTLY IT WILL HELP BJP....THIS IS THE REASON SIDDARAMAYYA HAS MIXED FEELINGS.....

AAP HAS A GOOD CHANCE TO REPLACE JDS WHICH IS ALMOST ON THE WAY OUT OF KARNATAKA POLITICS......

While welcoming the Delhi election's verdict,I would like to point out few of my own opinions.

i.e 1)This is an warning alarm for all the political parties.2)Religion,caste ism, atrocities on innocent people 3)money power 4)fake promises 5) party tag 6)Rape,sexual abuses,Goondaism etc will not serve the purpose now onwards.
Because now the people have become fed up with all the big bang national parties. They want change with great hopes and expectations. They don't want big and tall talks, money power, muscle power etc.People are the real judges not any party. They want corruption free, nepotism free clean and transparent good governance to live with peaceful life. Now onwards no party can boast. The people will choose their own government.May be today AAP,tomorrow some other party. This is waht Delhi people gave their mandate/verdict.Be careful, don't boast.Do some good work for the people of this country and get elected in the next election. This is what people's power

It is a COMPLETE consolidation of non BJP votes in favour AAP to stop the BJP from coming to Power and a snub to Mr Modi. It is time that BJP learns from the election results. Every time the churches were attacked and the Government of the day failed to stop such attacks the party in power has lost. In Delhi it was the Central Govt., managing the affairs under Governor's Rule. This was the case in Karnataka and now in Delhi. It is high time that BJP stops mixing religion with politics and learn what "Good Governance" is all about. It is time that the Ministers and MPs in the BJP who have spoken abusive language are removed from the council of ministers or suspended from the party. This is the second lesson in just 15 days the people of India have taught the Prime Minister Mr.Modi - the first one was from Mr Obama."Arrogance is the cause of fall of a man" - Anonymous. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Some corporate kind of lessons from Delhi election results:
    1. To be successful, know your customer, take care of your customers interest.
    2. Merger & Acquisitions. Strengthen you base and foundation. Take over similar entities if it is benefiting the stake holders.
    3. Put proper controls and checks in place.
    4. Advertise about yourself, your goals and give mission statement.
    5. Expand your customer base and service providers, agent network.

    shahul,

send all moral policing to jail without considering their religion.
send jail to mahatma killer & also those who kills innocent people in the name religion.
send all the stone pelters who want to create a tension in the society to the jail.

we should welcome to AAP as a secular party. we cannot forget the support of Bhukari who called the people to vote for AAP. at the same time all the religion heads to guide the people to vote for a candidate as done by bhukari, then we can expect secularism.

    1. In Delhi AAP fought against BJP, INC was considered as not in the race.
    2. BJP vote share was almost intact, slide by less than 1%.
    3. 2/3 of Congress supporters voted to alternate AAP. This method will likely to be followed other places, where secular party is weak or bad.
    4. Strong consolidation of secular voters.
    5. In future elections, this poll strategy will be applied elsewhere also.
